Announcements

Overview

Announcements are used to play a recorded message as part of a call flow. They are commonly used in scenarios such as informing callers of office hours, special announcements, or directing them to specific departments.

Configuration

  1. Create an Announcement:

    • Navigate to Announcements.
    • Select Add Announcement.
    • Enter a name to identify the announcement.
  2. Select Activity Type:

    • Choose the type of activity that will follow the announcement (e.g., external phone number, voicemail, extension).
  3. Select Sound File:

    • Choose a recorded sound file from the list available on your PBX.
  4. Enable Direct Dialling (Optional):

    • Set up a call route that directly dials the announcement.

Usage

  • Announcements can be part of call flows such as day/night conditions or holiday messages.
  • Ensure the recorded sound file is clear and provides necessary information to the callers.

Best Practices

  • Regularly update the announcements to reflect current information.
  • Use professional recordings for better caller experience.
