Virtual Extensions

Overview

Virtual Extensions allow you to assign commonly dialed numbers to a virtual extension, making it easier to call external numbers as if they were internal extensions.

Configuration

1. Create Virtual Extension

   • Navigate to Virtual Extensions.
   • Select Add Virtual Extension.
   • Enter a name for the virtual extension.

2. Assign Extension Number

   • Choose a 3 or 4 digit extension number.

3. Set Activity Type

   • Define the activity for the virtual extension (e.g., call forwarding to an external number).

4. Configure Activity

   • Enter the details for the chosen activity.

Usage

• Virtual Extensions can be used to quickly dial external numbers that are frequently called.
• Ensure the extension numbers do not conflict with existing internal extensions.

Best Practices

• Regularly review and update virtual extensions to ensure they are still relevant.
• Clearly label virtual extensions to avoid confusion among users.
