Hotel/Guest Mode

Overview

The Hotel/Guest Mode feature allows you to create a group of users/extensions with a unified base configuration. This setup is particularly useful for environments such as hotel rooms, school classrooms, or other places where phones are not used regularly like those of office staff.

  • Unified Configuration: Easily manage and apply a single configuration to multiple phones, ensuring consistency.
  • Speed Dial Setup: Configure multiple speed dial keys for quick access to important services (e.g., reception, room service).
  • Custom Outbound Number: Define a default outbound number for all hotel/guest phones.
  • On Hold Music: Select specific on-hold music to enhance the guest experience.

Use Cases

  • Hotel Rooms: Set up phones in hotel rooms with consistent configurations and speed dial options for services like reception, room service, and housekeeping.
  • School Classrooms: Configure phones in classrooms to have quick access to the main office, security, and other essential contacts.
  • Temporary Office Spaces: Manage phones in temporary or shared office spaces with a standard setup, ensuring ease of use for all users.

Configuring Hotel/Guest Mode

  1. Access the Hotel/Guest Mode Page:

    • Navigate to Services > PBX > Hotel/Guest.
  2. Group Configuration:

    • Friendly Name: Enter a name for the group configuration.
    • Timezone: Select the appropriate timezone from the dropdown menu.
    • Hotel/Guest Outbound Number: Choose the default outbound number for the hotel/guest phones.
    • On Hold Music: Select the on-hold music option from the dropdown menu.
  3. Line Key Configuration:

    • Click the green plus (+) button to add new line key configurations.
    • For each line key, specify the following:
    • Type: Select the type of line key (e.g., Speed Dial).
    • Number: Enter the number to be dialled when the key is pressed.
    • Label: Enter a label for the line key (e.g., Reception, Gym, Room Service).
    • Delete: Use the red trash can icon to delete a line key entry.
